What will I learn in this course?
-How to use functional applied neuroscience to decrease performance anxiety and get results in your singing (and so much more)
-How to assess and reassess your unique instrument and what it means if you get better, same, or worse with any given movement drill
You’ll have modifications for common problems and know what to do if you need more or less “input” and what that means for understanding your nervous system
More importantly, you’ll learn how engage the nervous system with enough activation and repetition to make a stable change in autonomic function (or muscle memory) - and you’ll stop thinking about technique!
“Kimberly’s Vocal Kinesthetics could not have come at a better time for me. I was looking for research-based strategies that I could use as a performer and also that I could pass on to my own students. Kimberly’s simple exercises gave me a foundation in ways that I can help my brain sing better. I can help my own singing through kinesthetic movement! It’s an amazing course. She brings great perspective in terms of pop, belt and retraining your brain.”

"My favorite discovery in this course was the effect in my mood and disposition. It's been a rough year and I've been struggling for various reasons- but after each drill I felt incredible and it lasted! I'm trying to incorporate the really high-payoff drills into my daily life, even outside of singing."

SHORTCUT: What’s a drill? It’s a new movement or activation for the brain. Here’s why you might need some new drills for the practice room:
1. breathing drill -> for singers that need a novel way to unlock and fully reset their breath
2. vision drill -> for singers who need focus in the tone and release in resonance or that have difficulty with neck tension
3. upper body nerve glide -> for singers that have a less dominant side (strength ...literally everyone…)
4. pelvis/lower body mobility drill -> for singers with shoulder or hip tightness and no connection to the nerve highway and stabilizer that is the pelvis
5. foot drill -> for singers that need to feel grounded, have lower body injuries or sciatica, tightness in the low back and a former ankle injury (almost everyone…)
