Subaru Commercial Shoot

Last week I shot a commercial and got a feature with Subaru of El Cajon! Geno Carr (of Broadway’s Come from Away) played Doug, the Subaru sales associate guiding us through the show - it really is a show - “Subaru the Musical!” The writing team for the song Omri Schein and James Olmstead. Omri is San Diego based and James is in NYC. He is working on the upcoming Devil Wears Prada musical and the Britney Spears musical on the music teams and also they are writing new works too.

Spotlight on Veenwar Almezory

Veenwar is one of the funniest, magnetic, kind people I have ever worked with. He is a quiet learner when he is out of his comfort zone but reacts with laughter when he finds something new or realizes he’s not working so hard at singing. You’d never know - but Veenwar was born cross-eyed, so any kind of eye drill was a major threat that we gently overcame and it has exponentially improved his posture, range and tone. Watching him open up as an educator in my studio has been kind of like a Marx brothers skit. His essence transcends time and he can get very critical of himself but the payoff when his spark overcomes that is incredibly captivating.
